They lace up tight but my toes are in no way cramped and critically, the fit on top of my feet, which in many boots/shoes get a lot of pressure due to my high arches, is superb. This is one of the best tools Park makes and is five stars out of five in my book. This is my first replacement cap for an Apple Pencil though so that may be a common trend for these types of caps.
