I ordered these and when I received them there was only one earbud. In these situations, the Sennheisers cancel about 40% of the low-frequency background noise (tyre roll, engine revs, turbine whirl) and maybe 20% of the high frequency noise (speech, car horns, incessant announcements at airport gates).
