Very little arch support if any, as the sole of the sandal is flat, but there is about 1/4" of cushion, so my feet will probably create a little arch support over time, but not much. I occasionally have to go to construction sites and if there was any down side is they arent waterproof, but I bought these specifically to have good airflow and not come home with trench foot. Thought I was getting lucky finding my wedding shoes for this price but I guess I?ll have to purchase the real thing even though I thought i was based on the images above. I read that this is bad for your feet so I decided to roll the dice on the recovery shoes. Finally comfortability wise they actually fit very well and sit very nicely on the noggin which I wasnt expecting. I?m very disappointed seeing as I thought I would receive the EXACT same waist trainer as the first time, but for some reason they gave me a completely different waist trainer?I specifically choose this brand because I?ve seen good reviews and wanted the exact same one as my medium. He said it took awhile to get used to it but really likes it! SO THAT THE DIFFERENCES ARE EXAGGERATED 10X OVER!
