It seems to does what it should do: let in ambient sound to counter noise isolation. I am not saying these generate the best sounds on earth, but it is solid quality sound. The sandle is very narrow and if you have wide feet, I would suggest purchasing it in a mans size. Its plug and play. Give yourself extra time to fumble through everything. The tone of the white color is really nice because it has a kick of nacar (the inside of a ??) on it which makes it different I thought this rack would help, but as I added the shoes the rack could not handle the weight of all the shoes stacked in it. I loved how light they were - Crocs wins at that every time.
