When you flip them up, they touch the back, then kind of sag out just a tad. Personally, I believe that the design feature is cool and unique. Scroll up/down to adjust DPI. After about 2 months of wear they cracked/split all the way through (both sides, both pairs) in the part where your foot naturally bends from walking. Would I buy it again? Probably not. You can walk in them all day with great support. I thought it will fit into ear pad and keep the depth but it makes flat on the speakers. Perhaps the most comfortable Ive ever worn, well worth the asking price the removable liner is difficult to remove. From that I love my case and highly recommend it.
