True, the Flip 2 is actually not free of upper-bass boom. And the color (purple) is beautiful too. I can turn on a zone(or manually run an entire schedule) while sitting in my gazebo or on vacation a half world away. Each hook we used popped off. Not too much bass, not too much anything. They fit just right and go with everything I would like to buy it in wide for my husband. These headphones were highly recommended in reviews, so I took a chance in ordering without hearing them. I love them, they fit really well. From July until probably November or so they were fabulous headphones.
