These MIGHT grip a tad better with the added texture on the "silicone" but its slight and Im not sure its any different. Sorry, these are a one star only. And the case lid is so loose I lost an AirPod when the case fell out of my pocket. Size is a little off but it happens. As a result, I found myself continually getting my phone out of my pocket to do the skipping. I really like Fitflop products. In addition, it is really lightweighted so it isnt an issue to wear it all day long. Visually it looked like a quality and durable product. They appear as though they are going to last quite a while.
