The watch tower section offers a soft rubber ridge so that the watch rests on a ridge horizontally instead of vertically supporting the watch from sliding down off like so other stands I had. The times I appreciate noise cancelling the most are on flights, and listening to podcasts when walking to work. I have to preface this by saying that I am by no means an audiophile user, nor a professional. This is a great sandals,however I dont know why this kind of designed hurting my feet. This is the best summer purchase that Ive made. This is one of a kind speaker that I recommend if your a Sony fan I dont know that the block in the middle actually does anything for your signal. Glad I purchased this size. No question. The holes for the bolts are a little wider than some casters, so plan to use regular hex head bolts or wait until you receive these to select the right lag bolts.
