These do neither and sound amazing! The mesh on the side keeps them breathable. I like it when modern things make my life easier rather than harder. This happened within 2 weeks of owning them while the case sat on my nightstand. When you try to expose more of the stick out of the plastic shell, you hear a "snap," then the dial unscrews from the rest of the plastic housing. Its louder and theres a slight increase in bass. If I didn?t tell you than you would have no clue they are replacements. So why not 5 stars?THE SHOES SMELL! I really wanted to like this cover for my buds. I wouldn?t recommend if you?re buying to leave standing on its own.
