Subtle smell. They fit well and are smooth to the touch and nicely crafted. Also, you have to feed the straps from outside the tailgate to the inside, as opposed to letting gravity do the work. 10 out of 5 stars! The scent just might be your skin burning and wishing you hadnt used this. Normally I can wear a 10 but I had to bump up to an 11. Amazing walking sandals.
