Unless you have a wall mounted monitor that?s so high you won?t see the reflection of the lightbar, there?s no good reason to use it. ASICS GT1000 or GT2000 are great for running or exercise shoes. However, the leathery surface that the bottom of your feet touch are super slippery if it is hot outside and your feet are sweating. The lights do work better when they are walking on a hard surface compared to carpet. I need support without a really high arch. On the other hand, there is a high level of resistance when opening, putting on, and adjusting. I was so thrilled when I put on this dress WITH a pair of wedge sandals and the bottom of the dress fell about half an inch above the floor. Speaking of vacation, one of the reasons I got this particular speaker is the water and dust resistance is a must at the lake with the family and in case someone should tip over my kayak as I am listening to some tunes. I cant speak for longevity yet, but from what I have read about the brand these should be an enjoyable component for a long time. Ill be looking for another speaker and it could still be an Ultimate Ears one, but not this particular model.
