The lowers are a sort of soft rubber with a grippy feel. They look "OK" I suppose, but not young or fashionable. The extended section for the screws had come away entirely. This bar worked perfectly on my stainless steel dishwasher to hang towels. I dont have wide feet, but my baby toe feels like it is on the floor not the sole of the shoe. These are a great bang for your buck! I didnt have any broken or missing pieces. It also has a nice pattern so it doesnt just look like plastic.
