The shortest you can cinch the "short" straps is 26", which is not short at all, and would leave a lot of slack when its connected to a roof rack bar that is immediately adjacent to the bag. im assuming people pay the big bucks for the all leather straps on the birkenstocks. Yes, the charger cord is in an awkward location, but again, WHO CARES?! These were a great price & ordered more in another style!
