Before the viper ultimate, I had a SteelSeries rival 3 wired which I loved, a razer mamba which i was not a big fan of mostly because of how big it was, I was worried about that with this mouse before I got it but it is so small and lightweight I love using it for gaming. The ear cups are just right to sit on the ear not smother the whole ear. Hardware was a bit of an issue. High-quality material, and it even got more sound isolation than the original pads. I love the color and material. My husband has worn chacos for yeeeeaaars and he tried adjusting the straps every which way, but nothing has helped except just gently tucking my pinky toe outside of that strap. One minor nit: the white light is a little irritating when Im trying to sleep, and Im not sure why its even there. 1, its definitely artificial sounding. There is a noticeable audio delay while playing games on PC or watching Youtube video on the phone. The headset muffles sound and has a useful mute button and volume knob.
