I did so based on other reviews. Its super easy when pulling for the ends to come apart. 5 depending on the shoe style and I ordered an 8 in these which is a great fit. I need a solution and purchased these. Just got a bad pair I guess. in some cases. As a side note, I was concerned that these might produce audible rf/ir type interference (as led lights often do) when playing music from my stereo gear, but there is absolutely none. They are VERY comfortable and fit snug so they were not a hazard thru the cobblestone areas. So I?m a college student and I have a super duper small closet. When these do fit right, they fit the harman curve almost perfectly, with tons of detail from subbass to the highs.
