Is this some attempt to save manufacturing costs on their part. The material is not leather but vinyl. I no longer can walk around the house barefoot with this ailment, so I leave them by my bed when I go to bed. Each color did come packaged in a small bag so the colors did not run together! Seems different than the pair I ordered directly from the ugg website. The lids fit closely and the rubber ladder device keeps them all together. I love Touch! Directions did not give clearity to that part that could go either way. Even so, Samsung sent me a new one under warranty. Impeccably made and a snug fit at first, but I expect them to bed in after a few days wear.
