Theyre wound tightly so that there are fewer stray filaments to get in the eye. 25 tap to clean up the factory holes, if they arent too far gone - or do like I had to do and drill out the weld washers, and then tap 1/2x13 NC with new SAE bolts. All the buttons work well and are easily accessible. I would definitely purchase them again, or give them as a gift. Final word, 4+ stars for this pair. Overall, its a solid piece of furniture that will last for a long time. I returned and am going to try a different brand next. Beautiful colour and perfect material. :~( Beats are horrible in comparison, those other pairs are going to the garbage.
