The linings are a good compromise of warmth, comfort, and durability. I gave it a 4 because it isnt a 5 but the story line was there. Also, these are not brass. I clamped it on to the dash above the speedometer and it was exactly what I was looking for. Buckles are actually Velcro. And this is coming from a guy who swore hed NEVER put a kickstand on a mountain bike. I have never been a fan of Crocs for myself because I think they look hideous. All things considered, this is a 5 star piece of equipment in all respects. Going to order the smaller one in different color hopefully it hugs my waist I have been debating taking the hard plastic strips out and maybe just opening the seam on both sides so it wont be so tight and uncomfortable.
