I prefer mine either a dark solid color or off to limit ambient light on my monitor. Honestly, I wasnt even on that train and that probably made it more bearable for me. It was nicely packaged and arrived very quick. The answer is no, you have to stay as labeled, which is fine. Lots of shoes on there. Like the price, and I think 2 things could be improve would be to have a harder snappier switch and know why both the power light and the surge protection light are both on. I have attached pictures showing the comparison between the original colour and the new faded one. I dont recall any pronounced noise coming from the cross bars on my 2010 Nissan Pathfinder for comparison. For reference, my Teva sandals provide more arch support than this shoe. Im still unsure if I will send back or not for one that is a little longer.
