This is made to attach to the diameter of a "Mic" stand, therefore I would say YMMV attaching the stand to smaller diameter objects. It?s sturdy and very stylish. I received the pads and wondered how to put them on ? Sony has a place where you start th e elastic part of the earpad. Pwerhaps its just my foot, but no matter how tightly or loosely I adjusted the straps, by the time I walked 4 -5 steps, my foot was easing out the back. Fit is wider at the toe than many boots so they fit me better; I measure an 8. Just got them in a sz11. 5 as recommended and the shoes are comfortably roomy everywhere, but because of the adjustable strap design they still stay snug at the back of my heel. There was often felt coming off and stitching coming undone after a machine wash, especially toward the end.
