The glass didnt shatter, but that was just dumb luck. Tried to spot clean but I was left with an oily greenish spot on my new sandals, which made me sad. They worked alright the first 4-5 times. With the velcro seperated from the actual foam or covering, I expect this will last much longer. A great deal all the way around. How? The plastic stem connecting the phone cradle to the part that mounts to the handlebar had snapped in half (see the photo). They do not absorb anything.
