It can get very loud without the distortion. I instantly started sweating putting it on. I weight 176 currently and i am 5?6 i bought a Size M, i lobe this waist trainer, first time using one, i think i need it to get a small stead because i been using it for one week and i already am on the last line adjustment. Garmin tried to make a one size fits all and failed.
