It has only been a week and I have been wearing them around the house to see if breaking them in will add some comfort in the thong connector area (a bit painful from me deliberately sliding my foot forward to compensate for the lack of heel room). The issue is as suspected above, at the base of the connector: there is no visible sign of damage or wear and tear, but the sound comes back to the two ear pieces while bending the wire gently at the wire base. I bought one and CL16 arrived then asked for a replacement and CL16 arrived again. I was contacted by the company when they saw my review and they offered me a 50% refund along with keeping the dress, so I have decided to give it as a gift to someone it might fit a bit better! I even use it as a room divider. I must have about 10 pairs some of which I?ve had for over 7 years and I can honestly say they don?t make them like they used to. Theres a lot of stretch to the fabric, but not so much that you feel unsupported. It made me think I should just start making my own. For $90+, I would think they would be made better and not have a rough strap that constantly rubs on your skin. Dont buy these.
