I disassembled it, soaked it in alcohol overnight, scrubbed vigorously, and rinsed liberally with distilled water. They did have a Crocs paper tag with plastic hanger attached around one of the straps (obviously a fraud). Lots of fun twists. I got these on sale here and love them.
