These were pretty good. Navigating beaches that consist of large rocky inclines with 1-2 inch rock bottoms were challenging for these water shoes and my feet. I have taken good care of them by not wearing outside in wet or snowy (salty) weather, and with a bit of brushing with a suede brush they look almost like new yet. He leads very active life and he loves keeping fit. I still will keep my 3+ year old low cut Jordan XXXIs, with their wide toe box. Update: I received the size 6. A few scratches on the tops when they came, but really nothing major. The shoe fit almost perfectly but the upper strap near the ankle was way too big without any way to adjust or tighten.
