Maybe don?t tighten the ankle straps all of the way? I still have them because they?re gorgeous shoes & I get a ton of compliments on them. Easy to assemble, and it?s nice that I?ll be able to expand it if I want to. The allen wrench has bends on each side, so its easy to turn it rapidly without repositioning your hand for the next turn. I love being able to slam my mouse from left to right without even thinking if i?ll get off the pad. So, first off, I am 65, 260 lbs and I go running 4-5 days a week on country roads, trails, etc. They fit true to size, my toes are not cramped, the width is correct for normal shoes. 5 year old she will have to wait till winter to use its still august but theres plenty of room to grow they currently fit her a bit big.
