About the quality of the sound, it can definitely be improved, but still amazing. Also theres no foaming or visible exfoliating action, so its kind of hard to really know if you are doing anything other than wiping it on yourself. One side is normal solid "gold" paint as you see in the item photo, and the other is mottled, almost like gold mercury glass. She loves them and says ?they?re so soft.
