I have some old sperry slippers from 3 yrs ago & these are NOT THE SAME. I am not a pro rider and when at cruise effort level, I have only two higher speeds left, so intervals are limited and the only option is to boost cadence. I like the weight of them as well not heavy and clunky feeling. Waterproof? Yes, Mostly :) I fell in the sea a couple of times with these on (riding my SUP), without any problems (pro tip: gently wipe them down with a moist -yeah, I said moist- fresh water towel after you dunk it in the sea). I never thought that I will be a fan of camouflage. Also, the SteelSeries website keeps prompting me to download their Engine 3, insisting that it can support my headset, but it doesnt detect it, despite the fact that I have sound playing through it. Those are common issues with all bike racks of this type. Does it have any fancy features? Nope. Got these to wear around the house and telework while not feeling like Im wearing pajama slippers, for a comparable price. If you find wood, tighten the screws down.
